Owner Nikki Riojas is no stranger to the world of entrepreneurship, having owned small businesses for the past 20 years. She has worked with small businesses in the areas of marketing, design, and creative services for many years, but expanded her services in 2020 due to the pandemic–and the rise in businesses needing assistance in these areas.

Nikki is currently contracting with the Small Business Development Centers at Del Mar College (in Corpus Christi, TX and the Coastal Bend) and at Texas State University (covering Austin, Round Rock, and San Marcos) assisting clients with marketing, ecommerce, online strategies, branding, and social media.

About Nikki

Over two decades of experience in marketing, entrepreneurship, and as a business owner has positioned Nikki as a leader in the local small business community. In 2017, Nikki founded the Women’s Entrepreneur Society of Corpus Christi, a non-profit centered around helping women entrepreneurs develop and nurture relationships within their community. As the acting president of WESCC, Nikki guides a thriving non-profit of over 100 members and continues to cultivate a community of mentorship and education for women business owners in the Coastal Bend. This culture of mentorship continues in Nikki’s role as a graphic design department adjunct professor at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

As the entrepreneur community in Corpus Christi and the greater Coastal Bend area thrived, Nikki saw a need for a collaborative, dynamic local brand that celebrated the community. Made In Corpus Christi was started in early 2019, combining Nikki’s love of good design, local goods, and collaboration between makers. Nikki has the drive and ambition to not only think big but to create big.
